A fun day learning to use wadded applique and a variety of beautiful embroidery stitches to create a delightful artwork. Your finished piece will look great framed, as a unique cushion cover or even as a personalised tote bag.
WORKSHOPS - AT YOUR VENUE
Book a fun day for you and your sewing/quilting/crafting group designing and creating your own unique textile artworks.
Learn something new, think outside the box and stretch the imagination with one of Deb’s textile-based workshops.
Starting with that unnerving blank canvas, Deb will take you through the process of designing your own beautiful artwork.

Workshop 1 ‘Composition Challenge – Marvellous Machines’
Focus: exploring the composition of abstract/stylised designs.
Workshop 2 ‘Developing Designs – Fun with Fish’
Focus: developing a design from an initial drawing – no drawing experience needed!
Workshop 3 ‘Colour Matters – Seascapes in Stripes’
Focus: exploring composition through colour to create sea [or land] ‘scapes.
Workshop 4 ‘Alternatives Textures’
Focus: developing a garden-based design using different materials.
Workshop 5 ‘Bespoke Design’ – a workshop designed to suit your group.
Timing: workshops are usually run from 10am-4pm, but this can be modified to suit your group’s needs.
Each participant will be supplied with a starter pack including handouts, resources and pre-prepared canvas [from £20].
As the finished designs for the workshops above will be unique to each individual, participants will need to bring fabrics/scraps they wish to creatively upcycle and their basic sewing kit.
Price: From £30 per person + pack + expenses. Minimum 8, maximum usually 15.

'Sewing Party' - for groups of 3-8 in your own home, working on one of Deb's 'Artwork Kits' with Deb's personal tuition.
Timing: 10-3pm
Price: £100 per person [incl. pack]
